Fall feels like it's here!

All the beautiful colors!  Yeah!
Though I do feel spoiled because the weather has been so mild, I know that winter is on its way.

My children in their homemade costumes....

Overall, I think they were pleased.  I made all of my daughter's costume and adapted something my middle son had from a party for his costume and added a cape.  My youngest had just a cape to go over his all blace attire to be Darth Vader.  Fun!

New Blog Drawing To Win These Earrings...

These are called Warm Toffee and they are from my shop on Etsy.  To enter the drawing, you must either comment on this post or become a follower of my blog.  The drawing will end on November 16th, 2010.  Only one entry required to win.  Thanks!  :)

What's for dinner?

I know it's not even lunch time but already I am thinking about what I will make for dinner.  I'll think I'll make Porcupine Meatballs (a family favorite).
1 lb ground beef or any meat
1 large onion chopped
3/4 cup instant brown rice
1 clove garlic minced
Mix together and then roll into balls.  Brown in a hot skillet, turning so all sides are browned.
Add 1 28 oz can of diced tomatoes
A few squirts of ketchup
1 dash of balsamic vinegar
A pinch of red pepper flakes
Stir to combine and cover for 15 mins.  Then cook uncovered until most of the liquid is reduced.  Serve with mashed potatoes or mac-n-cheese.
YUM!

I started a blog...

I must say I have no idea how this works but thought it might be fun to post stuff that happens everyday.
